Foot trimming workshops are tailored to meet the experience of those attending but
usually include:
- Looking at the causes and prevention of lameness
- Assessing the degree of lameness by locomotor scoring
- Routine trimming of overgrown feet
- An introduction to trimming lame cows
Practical training is carried out using feet from the abattoir and live cows under
close supervision.
The price depends on the course but for practical foot trimming training two days
are essential.
