This is a four day course run by vets from St Davids Farm Practice under licence
with Semex UK.
On successful completion of the training students will be legally allowed to
inseminate their own, or their employers bovine animals.
The training comprises theory sessions, examination of reproductive tracts from
post mortem samples, training in handling and thawing semen and five practical sessions
with live cows. The maximum number of students per course is six.
The cost is £335* (including VAT and £75 worth of semen vouchers).
*You must be eligible for funding – a farmer or farm worker with a holding number
in the SW RDA (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset).
